Social Studies
The Social Studies department emphasizes the Five Themes of Social Studies: Politics, Economics, History, Geography, and Culture. Sixth grade will uncover the Ancient and Medieval Worlds. Seventh grade will focus on United States history from Westward Expansion through the Civil Rights Movement. Eighth.grade will investigate Global Issues of the 20th and 21st century. Additionally, eighth grade will study the Illinois and United States Constitution. By examining these topics, students will gain a better understanding of the important roles they play in an ever-changing world.
